To become a Fellow member of the Miami AI Club, candidates ​must meet at least 4 out of the following 8 criteria:

1. Creativity and Innovation:


  • Independent contributions to original research or technological innovation.
  • National or international recognition through patents, published work, or prestigious invitations.


Example outcomes: published research, patents, media coverage, or successful innovative projects.


2. Insight and Experience:


  • Roles such as consultant, business manager, or technical specialist in AI or technology.
  • Influence across a range of clients or geographies, with measurable business impact.


3. Entrepreneurship:


  • Creation or leadership of successful businesses or units in AI-related sectors (e.g., ethical AI, AI ​and healthcare).
  • Evidence of business success: turnover, number of employees, funding, or external recognition.


4. Thought Leadership:


  • Senior or critical roles that influence an organization’s or community’s vision and strategy.
  • External representation and influence on standards, policies, and industry norms.


5. Reputation:


  • National or international recognition, such as awards, honorary degrees, or fellowships.

Example roles: non-executive directorships, government advisory roles, or honorary professorships.


6. Responsibility:


  • Leadership of significant programs, projects, or organizational activities with strategic or ​operational responsibility.
  • Achievements such as large-scale project delivery or managing substantial budgets.


7. Service:


  • Outstanding service in senior roles on committees within the Miami AI Club or similar ​organizations.
  • Contributions to national or international standards in AI, engineering, or technology.


8. Influence and Contribution:


  • Activities that positively impact society, promote AI understanding, or contribute to AI ​regulations at state, federal, or international levels.
  • Evidence of fulfilling the wider goals and values of the Miami AI Club.
